Emergency Accommodation
We were devastated to have to turn away a number of urgent accommodation requests for over Christmas, from owners facing emergency hospital procedures and other medical crisis over the upcoming holiday period. We were/are fully booked with dozens on a wait list. We simply had no room.
This upset us greatly, as there were many requests from people who simply had no friends or family members whom they could call upon. No one should ever have to find themselves in such a situation.
As a result, we have decided that from the 1st of February 2022, we will be permanently setting aside 3 double size guest rooms to be used solely for crisis care. This will include peak periods such as Easter, Christmas and school holidays.

Occasional Price Increases
New clients come to us via a variety of sources, mostly however through recommendations and research. Customers return to us when we meet their expectations of a premium facility.
These expectations are met through trained and committed staff, continual maintenance and innovation, the highest quality foods, fully heated and cooled facilities and an ultra clean environment.
When wages, superannuation and suppliers’ products & services increase without notice; we endeavour to absorb these costs. However, there comes a point when we can no longer do so, at which time there is a guest rate increase.
We do not like having to implement increases without notice, however if we wish to continue to provide the best that we can, then we hope that you as a customer and an important part of the Mornington Lodge family, can understand when we are required to do so.

Collections
We occasionally receive a request to drop off/collect outside our published times. Whilst we fully appreciate clients have plans, there are a number of determining factors which dictate our opening and closing hours.
Some of these factors are Council imposed, however in the main, they are down to our duty of providing scheduled periods of uninterrupted care for our guests; many of whom require a regime of medications, prescription diets, assisted toileting and hand feeding.
With the exception of medical emergencies or crisis, we ask that these times and policies are respected so that we can continue to offer our best care.
Thank you Belinda and the Team
We welcome viewing of our facilities between the hours of 11am by appointment – except in the following instances:
Tuesday’s (office closed at 10.45 am).
We do not carry out inspections when the temperature is forecast to exceed 32 degrees, as we need to keep our guests calm and cool over the warmer periods.
